Moving everything around to find a nice composition It's starting to look better. From an old wall lamp I trying to make a switch, here you can also see the holes I drilled for all the pipes. Here the switch mounted underneath, the switch is a push type switch for a doorbell, it also has a little light in it when it's switched off. welded all the copper together and installed the turn valve., the pvc pipes been painted in gold . The valve is also working as a switch, inside I installed a little push button switch, the lamp itself is placed behind the pipes. not shown in this picture.

Industrial steampunk lamp Part 1

Steampunk Lamp, Part 1.   This morning I woke up with the idea to make a steampunk lamp, after searching in my shed for all  my old bits, I started with the lamp. First I screwed a plank to my workbench to screw the fitting down. I drilled a hole to get the wire through.  Here I got the wires through the pipe, I am finding it more difficult then I thought. Because I am using old bits, everything is in different sizes., 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch. Pfff It's like a giant puzzle. Here I got the wire trough but I could't get through the next few bends, so I just drilled a hole and this piece of cable will be visible. I have soldered everything together.  Here some pics, The base needs to be sanded and stained,  And I want it all the same colour so I will need to paint some parts, don't want to paint the copper.  It's starting to look better, but  still want to add more things. So this is part 1, will be continued.... Update: Sorry, there wil

How to Sell your Paintings

As an artist I know it is very difficult to sell your paintings, there are many ways to sell them. You can sell them on the street, think of markets, fairs etc, You can rent a place and try to sell your works, this takes a lot of patience, somedays you don;t sell anything. The good thing is you are out of your house and making publicity for your works. Also it can be fun, you will meet a lot of new people and you will always meet other artists. The other possibility is to sell your works online, you can register for free and sell without commision. You get free publicity for your paintings and the possibility to sell them for free. Just go to:    Artbreak An other site where you can sell your paintings :   Artpal With  Artpal  you can sell your originals but also prints of your paintings, register is free. There are many possibilities to sell online, I will post some more information shortly. please leave a comment if you got more suggestions.
